Abstract
Blue phases with high concentration of chiral dorpants appear in a narrow temperature range. It is now generally accepted that the blue phases have a unique three-dimensional structure composed of double twist cylinders and disclinations, and there are three types of blue phases, BP I, BP II, and BP III. The lattice structure of blue phase depends on the concentration of chiral dorpants, the lattice size becomes larger with increasing the concentration of them. In this study, we observed the lattice structure in polymer stabilized blue phase with the different concentration of a chiral dopant by using confocal laser scanning microscope.
