Abstract

In this paper, hardware configuration and evaluation of a l bit A/D converter for wireless single carrier phase modulation signals were discussed. Circuit area and power consumption of the 1bit A/D converter are small. Therefore, in receiver system for wireless single carrier phase modulation signals, realizing small analog circuit area and low power consumption can be expected if the 1bit A/D converter is utilized in order to detect signal phase. In this paper, the 1bit A/D converter is implemented on a 0.18μm. CMOS process. We evaluated the system by using actual wireless single carrier phase modulation signals. Finally, BER (Bit Error Rate)characteristics were measured.
